Useful vocabulary is easier to remember when you learn words in a clear topic and connect them to situations you can imagine. This lesson introduces practical vocabulary for technology.

Learn Words as Phrases
Do not stop at the dictionary meaning. Build a short phrase or sentence around each word. For example, instead of memorizing schedule, learn combinations such as check a schedule, change a schedule, and a busy schedule. These combinations make the word easier to retrieve when you speak or write.
Use Context
Choose three words from the table and write one short situation that could naturally include all three. Connecting several words inside one context is more effective than reviewing them as unrelated items.
Quick Practice
Cover the meaning column and explain each word in simple English. Then cover the word column and try to recall the word from its meaning. Finally, say one original sentence aloud for each word.
